QUEST in Action
Consensus
QUEST Decision-Making always requires each team
member to reach consensus. While decision-making
through consensus is slower and more difficult than a simple majority vote, it
is more thorough and effective. It
forces team members to discuss and explore alternatives and it encourages
collaborative thinking. By consensus,
each team member arrives at a decision everyone agrees to support.
Consensus: A
collective team agreement that every team member understands, supports and is
willing to carry out.
