QUEST in Action
Recording team ideas accurately provides:
· An opportunity for team
members to “see their ideas”
· A written record of what has
been said
· An organized account of the
team’s thoughts
· Decision making
Here are simple rules for recording ideas to
maintain team focus and easier reading.
· Use three colors when
possible: the first color for headings, the second and third colors to separate
ideas
· Alternate colors every other
line
· Put headings on each page
· Date each page
· Put the “Spell Check Later”
symbol at the top of each page to let the class know that while perfect
spelling is not necessary to the process, it is still a class priority.
· Encourage participation;
number at least ten spaces for ideas
· When the team is narrowing
the list of ideas, do not completely scratch off or erase those ideas. Draw
only a single line through those discarded ideas to keep them legible for
future reference.
