Flow Chart

 

The Flow Chart is a picture of any process (sequence of events, steps, activities, or tasks), which transforms inputs into outputs in a system.

 

Why is a Flow Chart used?

1.    To provide a picture of the process.

2.    To show the relationship of the people and the steps in a process.

 

How is the Flow Chart used?

1.    Define the process boundaries.

2.    Observe the process in operation.

3.    Draw a people coordinate (if necessary).

4.    List major steps in the process.

5.    Draw the Flow chart using Flow charting symbols.

6.   Study the flow chart.
