Criteria Matrix

What is it?

A QUEST tool that provides a rating process to narrow down countermeasures or potential causes from a brainstorming list.

How is it used?

Place the top 3-5 countermeasures within the criteria matrix and ask the group how they would rate the countermeasures based upon the criteria the group has selected by consensus. Use a scale or rating system from 1-5 or 1-10 and rate each countermeasure and put the value in the selected area. After all the countermeasures have been rated by the criteria selected then total the scores up in the right hand column. The highest score should be discussed first.
