Radar Chart

 

What is it?

 

A radar chart is a tool that provides a visual display of the current state or level of performance in various categories.  A pattern is formed that often looks like a pattern on radar screens.

 

What does it look like?               

 

When is it used?

 

The radar chart is used when:

  1. The status of elements in a project or process needs to be evaluated.
  2. Areas of improvement need to be displayed graphically.
  3. The change needs to be displayed over time.

 

How is it made?

 

  1. Place the project/process in the center of the circle.
  2. Determine the categories to be evaluated.
  3. Draw a line for each category.
  4. Write the name of each category at the end of the line.
  5. Scale the lines.
  6. Evaluate each category in terms of current performance.
  7. Place a dot on the line that represents the evaluation.
  8. Connect the dots and study the results.
