What is it?

 

The run chart is a line graph of data plotted over time.

 

What does it look like?

 

 

 

    

When is it used?

 

1.       When trends need to be identified.

2.       When data is collected over time, with the time order preserved.

 

How is it made?

 

  1. Identify what is being charted, for header information.
  2. Record the data.
  3. Scale and label each axis with x-axis representing time and y-axis representing frequency.
  4. Starting on the left side, begin plotting the data.
  5. Connect the dots.
  6. Interpret the chart.  Look for patterns and trends.
